C5500, new ones have and extra leaf. Feel like the fucking hulk now, go to pick up a beer it feels like it’s empty. Nothing like dragging heavy shit around all day.

So this is an 87 bronco 2 that another shop did head gaskets to. They literally replaced the gaskets and nothing else. No machining and used the old head bolts. This kind of laziness pisses me off especially after charging the customer $4000 to do this and replace everything else with the cooling system. These jack monkeys also rigged a hot wire to the fuel pump and the relay just to get it to run.

Not sure the make of the motor, it’s an old MDT snow thrower. Someone tossed it out in the fall. Looked like it was still in good shape. Runs great!

A follow-up on mine. I robbed the part from my spare but needs rebuilding diff. Turned out to be a high end aftermarket replacement that was machined rather than cast. Made marks on the adjuster rings, banged the parts out, used a slide hammer to put the race and shaft in, got it back together, feels good. Waiting for new seals and it can go back together.

When I was in college, I once noticed my car running like it was starved for air. Opened up the airbox and found a mouse nest much like the one pictured - the momma mouse and a couple babies ran off, the rest of the nest and dozen other babies went into the shop vac.
